Huff, puff, huff, puff! I could hear my heart beating like a drum, there were shivers up my spine. Kapahaka were getting ready to perform a powhiri to welcome in the white crosses representing thirty of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our freedom as people. There were way more than thirty who lost their innocent lives in World War one and also two.I thinks it’s pretty awesome that Mr Gary Walker (formal owner of the popular R.S.A)was there to watch, I’m pretty honored to be standing and performing in front of everyone. I’m pretty proud of myself for not giving up and keeping strong when emotional parts came up. Thank you to all that organised this special ceremony.
